Who we are
A focused software developer, not a big studio
Zbellbound is the commercial software brand of an independent developer building desktop and SketchUp tools full time. Every extension and app on this site is designed, built, tested, and supported directly — there is no layer of account managers or outsourced support between you and the person who wrote the code.
Based in Denmark, building for a global audience of SketchUp and Windows users.
Built from real work
Built to solve problems I ran into myself
Zbellbound didn’t start as a plan to sell software. It started because I develop software, design products, and work inside SketchUp every day — and kept hitting the same friction points that no existing tool quite solved. Most of what’s on this site began as a personal fix for a personal problem, not a feature dreamed up for a roadmap.
I still use these tools every day, in real projects, for real work. That’s not a marketing line — it’s the actual development process. A feature doesn’t become part of a release because it sounded good on paper. It earns its place by holding up under daily, repeated use, the same way any tool in a working toolbox has to.
That also shapes how these products change over time. Improvements come from friction I’ve actually hit, not from a checklist of things a bigger tool has. The goal has stayed the same since the first extension: cut repetitive work, keep workflows intuitive, and build things a working professional can rely on — because I am one, and I have to rely on them too.
What we build
Two focused product lines
SketchUp Extensions
Modeling tools that add real capabilities to SketchUp — transform gizmos, dimension generation, tag management, and material reloading, built as Ruby extensions with SketchUp-native results.
View extensions →Windows Applications
Standalone desktop utilities for everyday production work — verified file transfer, secure deletion, batch image conversion, and website image crawling.
View apps →Within both product lines, the goal is the same: faster, more reliable workflows and less manual repetition — whether that means generating a batch of dimensions in SketchUp or verifying that ten thousand files copied correctly.
Our philosophy
Quality before quantity
Solve real problems
Every tool starts from an actual workflow bottleneck, not a feature list. If it doesn’t save real time, it doesn’t ship.
Fast workflows
Compact dialogs, sensible defaults, and few clicks between you and the result. Tools should get out of the way.
Reliability
Undo support, defensive selection handling, and real-world testing before release — not just a demo that works once.
Performance
From BLAKE3-verified file transfers to non-destructive viewport previews, tools are built to stay fast at real-world scale.
Clean interfaces
One compact dialog rather than five scattered windows. Clear labels, inline status, and no clutter for its own sake.
Long-term maintainability
Products are actively maintained, versioned, and improved after release — not abandoned once they reach the store.
Designed for professionals
Built for people with real deadlines
Zbellbound’s tools are developed for professionals who depend on efficient, repeatable workflows every day — not occasional hobby use. The SketchUp extensions are built with the kind of daily modeling work common in architecture, design, visualization, engineering, and manufacturing in mind, where every saved click adds up across a project. The Windows apps follow the same principle for everyday file and image handling tasks.
Our philosophy in one sentence
Software should solve problems, not create them.
Every Zbellbound product is built with one goal: to make everyday work faster, simpler, and more intuitive. If a feature doesn’t improve the workflow, it doesn’t belong in the product.
Support
Documentation and ongoing improvements
Every product on this site ships with a full manual covering installation, core workflows, and settings — available directly on its product page. Products are actively maintained, with fixes and improvements released over time rather than left static after launch.
